A perfect place to eat delicious food.... The staff very friendly... Nice atmosphere.... They have definitely a very good chef and the kitchen staff.

An absolute gem in Jackson! I had an incredible experience at The Duke Restaurant and Saloon. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, with elegant decor that made the whole evening feel special. The food was outstanding — every dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Whether you’re visiting Jackson or live nearby, this place is a must-visit. Can’t wait to come back!

We were able to get a table, without a reservation which was nice. It took a minute for the hostess (costumed-angry raggedy Ann) to acknowledge we were there. I got the feeling she did other jobs too... maybe server assistant. The restaurant was sufficiently quant, clean, and well-decorated. The star of the show was definitely the server. She was friendly and even ran upstairs to grab me some decaf. Now for the food- I got the ribeye and my wife ordered the steak medallions. Both were good- and the price was more than fair. My wife typically doesn't like steak- and always get medium-well- she said the medallions were still so tender/juicy. And for $32, I was pleasantly surprised at the flavor, presentation, etc. The Ribeye, $40- was prepared excellently and was prime ribeye. The flavor reminded me of a picanha steak; it came with compound garlic herb butter which complimented it nicely. There was a large party in the next room that shared the attention of the one server- she handled it beautifully. The bartender did appear slightly bothered to make the drinks for the large party (she had 7 folks on her side to worry about)- I wasn't too sure about a few things- I found it odd there wasn't warm bread or rolls- especially for a place called the Duke (which screams steak, potatoes, bread). But at the price point (low for such great food), this was not an unmet expectation. Then the costumed-angry raggedy Ann- its the week of Halloween and the hotel itself was decorated... I'm not sure if she was angry, hated her job, or playing a character. Nonetheless, the service and food were on point- so it didn't diminish our experience. We'll likely make a trip back sometime.

Must check this place out. The food is amazing. You can’t go wrong with anything on this menu. Best bone in pork chop I’ve ever had. Service was also great. Karen is a great bartender

We loved the vibe while having dinner in the bar area, and the food was fantastic! Salad, shrimp & grits, pork chop, and creme brulee was all delicious. Enjoyed local wines by the glass too. Friendly bartender lady!

We had dinner in the bar. It was our first time sine the restaurant reopened in the hotel. We started with sharing a house salad with French vinaigrette. The salad was frwsh, a large portion, and I liked the dressing. The salad itself was fairly standard. For entrees, I had Shrimp and Grits and my husband had the apple and cider pork chop. I liked the shrimp, however it wasn't the traditional preparation with a rich sauce. There wasn't a sauce on this version of the dish. The shrimp were tasty and the grits were delicious. The grits were light and fluffy, really good. I don't usually comment on plating, but the shrimp and grits were on the wrong plate in my opinion. The bowl was too small, the dish seemed crowded. My husband liked the pork chop, but it was sweeter than he prefers and a bit fatty. For dessert, we enjoyed the blueberry crumble cheesecake. It was really good.

My wife and I chose to have our 25th wedding anniversary dinner there - it was a great choice. The food was excellent. I had the ribeye along with a glass of red wine and she had the steak medallions. We followed up with deserts of Creme Brulee and the Blueberry Cobbler Cheesecake. Every dish was top notch and as tasty as one could imagine - I cannot stress this enough. The atmosphere is inviting and pleasant but not overly posh (if that's your thing) and the staff made sure to not seat different parties right on top of each other so we were able to enjoy a fairly private and intimate setting because of that. The wait staff was attentive but not intrusive and very pleasant. The only negatives I can mention are extremely minor: they were out of my first choice for wine (my second choice turned out to be pretty good anyway) and the coffee could have been a little more timely with the desert - that's it. We will definitely, 100% be returning

We had a wonderful experience at the Duke! The food was absolutely delicious, the drinks were flavorful and creative, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. A special thank you to our amazing server and staff for being so attentive and friendly during our stay! Great food and service really made the evening even better. I’m already looking forward to coming back soon!
